Rock Direct Shear Apparatus

The rock electric stress-type direct shear apparatus is developed in accordance with the national industry standards (SL264-2001) "Specification for Rock Tests in Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering" and (JTG E41-2005) "Specification for Rock Tests in Highway Engineering." This instrument employs the flat-jack method and is primarily suitable for direct shear tests on rock blocks, structural surfaces (such as joint surfaces, bedding planes, schistosity planes, fracture surfaces, etc.), and the interface (bonded surface) between concrete (or mortar) and rock, as well as shear strength tests on the bonding surface between concrete and other materials. Its structural performance fully meets the requirements of the test specifications.

The electric stress-controlled direct shear apparatus for rock is developed according to the national industry standards (SL264-2001) "Testing Code for Rock in Water Conservancy and Hydroelectric Engineering" and (JTG E41-2005) "Testing Code for Rock in Highway Engineering." This apparatus uses the direct push method and is mainly suitable for direct shear tests on rock specimens, structural surfaces (such as joints, bedding planes, foliation planes, cleavage planes, etc.), and contact surfaces between concrete (or mortar) and rock (bonding surfaces), as well as shear strength tests on bonding surfaces between concrete and other materials. Its structural performance fully meets the requirements of the testing specifications.
